Company History

SUSTaim is a private limited company formed in 2008 by architect John Easton, registered in Scotland and operating throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

SUSTaim’s services are informed by 30 years of experience in commercial private practice involving the design and implementation of over 70 building and masterplanning projects to a total construction value in excess of £600M.

His interest and considerable knowledge in the field of climate change and sustainability has lead John over the last decade to develop a unique specialisation in these areas, and the establishment by him in 2006 of the sustainability expert group of one of the UK's top ten architectural firms, before moving on in 2012 to devote his time to SUSTaim.

SUSTaim maintains research and teaching involvements with a number of leading universities and business start-ups, ensuring that our services are informed by emerging sustainability best practice as it develops and by the latest technical advances as these are made.

Collaboration

SUSTaim is one of a new breed of small agile specialist companies that acts as a vehicle for flexible service delivery, including collaborative working with like-minded practitioners and academics who have complementary knowledge, skills, and experience in related areas.

SUSTaim can call where necessary on the support of experts of national and international standing across a range of sustainable development topics to further reinforce its own specialisms.

SUSTaim welcomes expressions of interest from like-minded practitioners and researchers to explore co-operative collaborative opportunities.
